I learned…
- Don’t take food from work.
- Splitting checks 6-ways never ends up fair.
- Money is a touchy subject.
Summary
A wrong number calls Chandler’s apartment looking for “Bob” and he pretends to be the guy she’s looking for.
Chandler tells everyone they owe $56 for dinner, concert and a cake for Ross’ birthday. Monica gets a promotion at work and wants to go out to dinner to celebrate. These both perpetuate the feeling that Rachel, Joey, and Phoebe have that the rest of the gang doesn’t realize they don’t make as much money as them. They bring it up at dinner and make Ross feel bad that they can’t afford to go to the Hootie and the Blowfish concert. The other half of the group buys tickets to the concert for the whole gang. Joey & co feel like it’s charity and they refuse to go.
At the concert, Monica runs into someone she used to babysit for that is now a lawyer for the band, and they get to go backstage and party with the Blowfish.Monica brings home five steaks and an eggplant for dinner from the restaurant, which ends up getting her fired.
