Summary
Joey makes Chandler go on a double date with him even though they both don’t know the second girl and she sounds like a mess. Surprise! – It’s Janice.
They have too much to drink and surprise again – he wakes up the next morning with Janice next to him. The gang has a good time at his expense after running into them in the hallway. He now has to break up with her on another holiday – Valentine’s Day.
Ross asks a woman from his building out and the date is a dud. They end up at the same restaurant as Carol and Susan. Susan has to leave early for work and Ross invites Carol over to join his date so she’s not alone. This obviously makes his date uncomfortable to have his pregnant, lesbian ex-wife join their date, and she excuses herself for the bathroom and never returns.
Monica, Phoebe and Rachel do a cleansing ritual to get rid of all their old relationship bad mojo (Boyfriend bonfire as the firefighters who have to come put it out call it). Janice has special candy hearts made for Chandler that say Chan and Jan 4ever. In the very next breathe, he breaks up with her. Surprisingly she is unfazed, and tells him that she knows that this will not be the last time they will be together (she’s so smart) and that he can’t live without her.
